Social Pixel & Data Layer Checker is built for on-device debugging. We do not collect, store, share, or sell any personal information.
What the extension does
It inspects the current page to validate tracking pixels (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit) and view the page’s dataLayer. All processing happens locally in your browser; nothing is sent to our servers or any third party.
Data we collect
None. No analytics, personal data, browsing history, or identifiers are collected or transmitted.
Data processed on your device (for display only)
• Pixel/network requests from the active tab
• window.dataLayer events on the current page
What we store
Only lightweight UI preferences (e.g., enabled platforms, filters, last selected tab) via Chrome extension storage. We never store page content, event payloads, cookies, or personal information. Remove the extension or clear extension storage to reset.
Permissions (privacy context)
activeTab (runs on the tab you open), scripting (read dataLayer in page context), webRequest (read-only to detect pixel requests), webNavigation (reset state on navigation/SPA), storage (save UI preferences), host permissions (let you run the inspector on chosen sites). Processing remains on-device.
Third parties
No third-party analytics, ads, tracking, sharing, or selling.
Children’s privacy
Not directed to children. No personal data is collected.
